Thankfully, we have come along way and wallpaper is back, baby! These days most people go for a statement piece that can really bring some life to a room which looks a lot more aesthetically pleasing then the above.

You have two costs to consider when installing wallpaper: the cost of the wallpaper and the installation. Although it can range in price depending on the quality, brand name and material.

There is a huge amount of possibilities in colours, patterns and textures that can completely transform the wall however there is also a big range of cost depending on exactly the wallpaper you are after - the most popular types being vinyl coated wallpaper and solid vinyl wallpaper. Vinyl is one of the most common types of wallpaper because it’s much easier to maintain.

Another popular option is the grass cloth look which generally consists of woven grasses such as silk, bamboo, silk, arrowroot or jute. The grasses are attached to the backing which is made from rice paper. It can really create a great look when done although it’s best to be mindful of little hands touching this constantly as it’s a bit more fragile.

So you have chosen your wallpaper, what’s next?

We come in once you have chosen you wallpaper and we can finalise your space with the installation. This includes start to finish preparation and installation leaving your room exactly how you want it. As above, cost of installation of wallpaper ranges from around $500 per feature wall install however this can range depending on any hanging supplies like sponges, rollers, paste etc and if there is any further preparation work before installing the wallpaper.

Once you have chosen your wallpaper, we recommend you get in touch with us with information about the space you want to wallpaper, along with any measurements you have. If we think a site visit is needed we will arrange this with you.

A couple of websites we recommend to choose your wallpaper from are:

Make sure you are double checking that you have enough wallpaper for the area. Most companies will have a calculator on their website which can help with this! Some websites do not come in standard size so be sure to check. Some tips to measure your wall:

Width: Measure the horizontal distance of the wall, from corner to corner.

Height: Measure the vertical height at each corner of the wall.
